The country is situated in the North-western part of the Balkan Peninsula. Croatia borders on Slovenia - 546 kilometres, Hungary - 329 kilometres, Serbia, Monte Negro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The country has a sea coast with Adriatic Sea. It is long 5335 kilometres. In east is situated Slavonia - wide undulating plain. Croatia has rich property from mountains, plains and many resorts which are so beautiful for tourists. In the central and western parts of the country is Dinarska Mountain. In Dalmatian seaside there are many engraved bays and great number of little beautiful islands. The climate in the country is moderate, Adriatic. The average temperatures are from 0̊ to 9̊ C in January and from 18̊ to 25̊ C in July. The yearly rainfall is 800-1500 mm, on the seacoast the yearly rainfall is 3000 mm. The main rivers in Croatia are Drava, Sava, and Kupa. The vegetation in the country is very varied and Mediterranean. Broad-leaved woods are 20 % from the area of Croatia. The population in the country is around 4.5 million people.

The capital of Croatia is town Zagreb. Other big towns here are Rieka, Split, Osiek, Zadar, Pula, and Dubrovnik. The property of Croatia is comparatively developed. Croatia is industrial - agrarian land which was in crisis, because the war. The main branches in the country are industrial - shipbuilding, machinery construction, chemistry, food and tobacco industries, woodworking, pharmacy, electro technical and others. In the agriculture main branch is plant - growing. The transport is very important for the properties of the country. In Croatia there are 28000 kilometres highways from which 24000 are with hard holding. In the country there are 2296 kilometres railway lines. The country has very good developed infrastructure and with its high property every year here come many tourists from all over the world. Most of them are from Europe but there are people from other continents too. For travelling in Croatia it is necessary for you to have a valuable passport - six months from the date of arriving.

Croatia is very famous country with very good conditions for tourism. Very beautiful part from the Croatia's property is Istiria Peninsula. Istiria is the biggest peninsula in the Croatian seacoast and one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. Here come every year some million tourists. It is very important for the peninsula that it is transit connection between big towns. Here the atmosphere is unique with the Mediterranean climate and unspoiled countryside. There are many amusements for tourists here - sport, cultural walking, calm on the beaches and the charm of the narrow streets in the towns. Near to the border with Slovenia is town Umag which offers very good conditions for tourism and sport. Here there is round of ATP tennis championship. The town is cultural riches and has a very rich property from mediaeval towns. Everything here is in harmony with the tourist objects - mediaeval towers and groans, gothic and baroque palaces. All towns here are unique with the property from beauty and amusements. There are many hotels and campaigns. The fiord Lim is nature phenomenon. Every summer only here come 50000 tourists.

The capital of Croatia Zagreb is always elegant during the centuries. The town is very beautiful and has a big property from architectural buildings and cathedrals. The historical centre of the town is from three parts. Kaptol is the centre of the Catholic Church in Croatia. In Gradec is situated the parliament - Sabor. In Dolni Grad is situated the business centre of the contemporary Zagreb. The town is founded in XII century. The nature is very beautiful here. The park Maksimir is very rich with different plants. The town Dubrovnik is very important part of Croatia's property. The town is known as a pearl of Adriatic. This is the town of most beautiful openly cafes in the world. In Dubrovnik there is a property from strong holding towers and groans, clock towers, narrow streets, fountains, cathedrals, slab stones, churches and monasteries. The palace of the princes is so beautiful too. Croatia is a very beautiful country which is rich with its property from buildings, towns and good conditions and climate for tourism.
