The Chinese finished working on the building of the new railway, which is situated on the highest above sea-level, announced Reuters.

The Chinese trains are now able to transport passengers to Tibet and so they allow every person to see the national treasures. The government aim is to deepen the ethnical harmony in their country.

“Building this railway will help in accelerating economical and social development in Tibet, for improving the conditions of life of the people and for deepening the bonds between different ethnical groups”, said the president Hu Jintao.

For 48 hours the train covers 4000km between Beijing and the capital of Tibet Lhasa - the last station of the new railway. The road is over 5000 meters above sea-level in its Tibetan part.
